Dr. Quang Ngo is an Associate Professor and Clinician
Educator in the Department of Pediatrics at McMaster University and a
practicing Pediatric Emergency Medicine physician at McMaster Children’s
Hospital. Quang graduated from Western University with an MD
in 2006 followed by residency training in Pediatrics from Western University
and Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Sick Kids and the University of Toronto. In this session for Faculty Development, Dr. Ngo discusses the Peter Principle and how it relates to assessment and admission of patients, utilizing Wayne Gretzky as an analogy. He also demonstrates a framework to align values to admission decisions and it impacts patient outcomes.
