Dr. David Zorko is a Pediatric Intensivist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at McMaster University, and Physician Lead for Chronic Critical Illness in the Division of Pediatric Critical Care. He completed his Pediatrics residency and Master of Health Research Methodology at McMaster University through the Clinician-Investigator Program. He obtained his training in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine and was Chief Fellow for the Critical Care Response Team at the Hospital for Sick Children (University of Toronto). His Chronic Critical Illness in Kids (CCI-Kids) Research Program focuses on evaluating the long-term outcomes of children and family after pediatric critical illness; specifically, patients with significant post-PICU health sequelae that result in high utilization of critical care in the future (termed, “chronic critical illness”).
