Physics 4Q03 Lecture 28: This lecture applies the framework of relativistic quantum fields to the simplest case of a spinless particle and constructs the Klein Gordon hamiltonian and some of its simpler interactions. Simple scattering and crossing symmetry are discussed as are methods for treating background-field problems. The lecture closes with a very short summary of lagrangian methods and why they are useful for relativistic systems.
