AURA is a wearable assistive navigation system designed to enhance environmental awareness through real-time multi-sensor perception. The system integrates depth sensing, computer vision, GPS-based navigation, and audio feedback to detect obstacles, identify objects, and provide contextual guidance to the user.
This project was developed by Affan Ahmed, Christian Carlos, Hassan Nasir, and Denis Panamgoodan, final-year Computer Engineering students. The project was completed under the supervision of Professor Xun Li.
By combining data from multiple sensors using a modular, real-time processing pipeline, AURA prioritizes relevant information and delivers intuitive audio feedback to support safe and efficient navigation in both indoor and outdoor environments.
