Dr. Anya McLaren is a staff respirologist in the Department of Pediatrics at McMaster University. She will be reviewing the etiology and clinical presentation of apneas in the term infant with a focus on primary respiratory causes of apneas in this population. The features of physiologic and pathophysiologic apneic events will be explored. Lastly, the sequelae of pathophysiologic
apneas and the approach to management will be outlined.
