Renata Hall is the Manager of Inclusion and Anti-Racism Education within the Equity and Inclusion Office at McMaster and she is also a PhD Student within Social Sciences. Renata educates from her positionality as a former front line social worker in housing and homelessness contexts and within St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton West 5th campus and from a positionality as an Anti-Racist researcher, practitioner, and educator. Renata is dedicated to amplifying the voices of the margins, providing equity, diversity and inclusivity and anti-racist strategic planning and direction for the broad Hamilton and McMaster community, and creating sustainable and feasible organizational and institutional change. 

Accessibility and Anti-Racist informed Allyship in Healthcare Continuums is a conversation and a presentation focused on unpacking and acknowledging the roots and origins of racism and ableism in healthcare continuums in Canada. With a focused of demystifying these intersections of racism and ableism in a broader conversation of interpersonal, systemic and institutional oppressions, this presentation with center healthcare continuums, paradigms and procedure's role in working towards championing an anti-racist and accessible culture for patients. The presentation will end on best practices for sparking anti-racist and accessibility informed care tips when working with patients on spectrums of racial and disability identities and lived experiences.
