CAPS is a real-time impact detection system embedded within a helmet liner, designed to measure and map head impacts using a distributed network of sensors. By capturing both the magnitude and location of impacts, the system provides actionable telemetry that enables faster, data-driven decisions to enhance safety across sports and industrial environments.
This project was developed by Mark Jonathan and Daniel Kogan as part of the Engineering Physics Capstone program. The team is grateful for the guidance and support provided by Capstone TA Joseph Fishman and Professor Adrian Kitai.
