Dr. Christine Tenedero is an Assistant Professor for the Department of Pediatrics. She received her medical degree at the University of Toronto and completed her pediatric residency training at McMaster Children’s Hospital. She completed her fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology and Metabolism at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, and had additional training through CQuIPS. She has an interest in quality improvement, with previous work focusing on resource stewardship, particularly as it pertains to thyroid hormone testing.
In this week's core session of Grand Rounds, she reviews the most common acquired thyroid diseases in pediatrics, with a particular focus on Choosing Wisely recommendations around thyroid hormone testing.
