Dr. Blake Yarascavitch is a pediatric neurosurgeon at McMaster Children’s Hospital and an Associate Professor at McMaster University where he serves as program director for the Neurosurgery Residency Program. He trained at McMaster University (2005-2014) for medical school and residency prior to completing a fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (Dallas, Texas). He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (2014) and a diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Neurological Surgery (2017). Since joining the faculty at McMaster in 2015, Dr. Yarascavitch has had a special interest in medical education and health information systems. He serves as an Associate Chief Medical Information Officer for Hamilton Health Sciences, helping to shape the ongoing digital healthcare transformation at the organization.
