DR. SUMIT GUPTA is a Staff Oncologist and Clinician Investigator at the Hospital for Sick Children. His research focused on identifying vulnerable subpopulations of children, adolescents, and young adults with cancer and on improving their outcomes, both locally and internationally. He is the co-founder of the Unit for Policy and Economics Research in Childhood Cancer (PERCC), and has worked with collaborators and Ministries of Health in the Caribbean, South America, and Sub-Saharan Africa. He has contributed to or led multiple Lancet Oncology Commissions and to the World Health Organization’s Global Initiative on Childhood Cancer. He is also a health services researcher and the co-chair of AALL1731, the Children’s Oncology Group’s current randomized control trial for children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
