Dr. Octavio
Netto received his MD from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (Brazil) in
2004. He
completed his Paediatric residency at Hospital Municipal Odilon Behrens in 2007
and Paediatric Cardiology specialization at Pequeno Principe Hospital in 2009. He
joined the Paediatric Cardiology team of Pequeno Principe Hospital in 2009 and
he worked there until 2019, when he was accepted to come to Canada for the
Paediatric Cardiac Electrophysiology fellowship at The Hospital for the Sick
Children. Inherited
arrhythmias is a field of interest to him and he also did a conjoined clinical
fellowship between Toronto General Hospital and Sickkids Hospital in July 2020
/ June 2021.He came
to Canada with his family and when he is free, he enjoys going to Parks,
watching TV series and reading fictional books. In this session of Grand Rounds, Dr. Netto discusses how to Improve
the recognition of inherited arrhythmias in children. Using a case study, he goes over diagnosis,
treatment, and follow-up of the most important inherited arrhythmias in
children: SQTS, LQTS, Brugada Syndrome, CPVT and arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy.
