Producing insulated panels relies on a semi-operator-controlled process, particularly during the critical foaming stage. This stage involves continuous operator input to manage the foaming reaction on the production line. For this project, we aim to develop a control algorithm that would automate the foaming process. This requires investigating the impact of various parameters, including line speed, chemical discharge, time delays, and the distance of peak foam from the containment press. The objective is to create a control algorithm that maintains a constant line speed while adjusting the chemical flow rate to maintain consistent foam density.
