Dr. Mohammed Al Jafari completed his medical degree at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) in Oman, followed by a pediatric residency with the Oman Medical Specialty Board (OMSB). He is currently completing his fellowship in General Pediatrics at McMaster University. His clinical focus is general pediatrics, and his academic interests include research and quality improvement.
In this week's core session of Grand Rounds, he explores Islamic bioethical perspectives in pediatric care, spanning the journey from prenatal decision-making to bereavement support. It highlights ethical guidance, the role of spirituality, and culturally sensitive approaches to support Muslim children and their families through illness, end-of-life care, and loss.
