Danielle Zucchet is the Chief Executive Officer of Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice. Bruce Squires is the President of McMaster Children’s Hospital and Vice President, Women’s and Children’s Health at Hamilton Health Sciences. In this session of Grand Rounds, Bruce and Danielle raise awareness in the Grand Rounds community on the important work underway to build a centre of excellence for pediatric palliative care, intended to serve the catchment of the McMaster Children’s Hospital patient population. This presentation will highlight the need, unique partnerships, a new model of care and a glimpse into the robust services and supports that will be available. It will also underscore the work through a lens of health equity, population health, wrap-around care and meeting children and families where they are at.
