Dr. Ipsita Goswami is an Assistant Professor and Neonatologist in the Department of Pediatrics, McMaster
University. Medical graduate and Pediatrician from India, Dr Goswami has completed her neonatology training and MSc in Neuroscience from the University of Calgary. She completed a combined research and clinical fellowship at The Hospital for Sick Children, University of Toronto, where she received specialized training in neonatal neuromonitoring and neuroimaging.
Summary: This presentation is going to (i) highlight the advantages of coordinated, standardized and
multidisciplinary approach to brain care in NICU (ii) discuss the applicability of the concept in current
settings within McMaster Children’s Hospital (iii) Explore the potential benefits and challenges.
