Dr. Ruchika Sharma is a Pediatric Gastroenterologist who completed medical school at the University of Calgary and Pediatric training at the University of Saskatchewan, followed by her Pediatric Gastroenterology Subspecialty Training at McMaster. Since graduation in 2023, she has been working as a Pediatric Gastroenterologist at McMaster as a Clinical Scholar while working on her full-time thesis-based Masters in Health Science Education.
In this week's core session of Grand Rounds, she will present the work completed during her Masters of Health Science Education Thesis Project, which includes a brief exploration of her path towards education research, an overview of existing training practices in pediatric endoscopy, strategies for improvement and implications for procedural training in pediatrics.
