SandMaze is a wearable sensor system developed by a team of McMaster University students: Jimmy Yan, Calvin Suen, Hassan Al Masmoum, and Jingbin Lin under the supervision of Dr. Matthew Giamou. The system is designed for mapping crevice caves like those found in the Niagara Escarpment (e.g., Rattlesnake Point and Mt. Nemo), where traditional surveying tools struggle due to tight spaces, low visibility, and rugged terrain.
