Data security is becoming increasingly important in today's research climate. In this talk, led by Lily Wang, Manager of the Securie Empirical Analysis Lab (SEAL), we will discuss classifications of sensitive data and related data security needs. We will focus on data security best practices, including the principle of least access. We will also discuss options for storing and analyzing your secure data and why SEAL, our secure data enclave, might be the right fit for your research needs.
Bio: Lily Wang is the Manager of SEAL, the secure data lab at Spark that is accessible to researchers from around the globe for storing and accessing sensitive data. Lily is dedicated to promoting awareness of accessible and secure environments for research; before coming to McMaster, they worked at the Brock Digital Scholarship Lab.
