Dr. Douglas Mack is a pediatric allergy, asthma, and immunology specialist and assistant clinical professor in the Department of Pediatrics at McMaster University. He is Vice President for the Canadian Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology and Section of Allergy and Immunology Executive at the Ontario Medical Association (OMA). Dr. Mack is currently investigating alternate delivery routes for epinephrine, including sublingual. He is a co-author of clinical guidelines on the prevention of allergy, oral immunotherapy, and anaphylaxis and is an investigator in asthma, eczema and food allergy clinical trials. Dr. Mack is co-founder of Halton Pediatric Allergy clinic and Principal Investigator (PI) at Ontario Pediatric Allergy Research Corporation.
In this week's core session of Grand Rounds, his presentation will discuss novel and exciting approaches to epinephrine administration and the proactive management of anaphylactic food allergy.
