Dr. Kassia Johnson is happy to be continuing her connection to the Department of Pediatrics as a Developmental Paediatrician and Associate Professor, McMaster University. Dr. Johnson has provided clinical services through the Division of Developmental Pediatrics for over 13 years in a part-time capacity and will now be moving into a full-time position where she will continue to provide antiracist/anti-oppressive clinical services for children, youth and their families who are faces the complexities that come with neurodiversity and social adversities. Dr. Johnson will also continue to participate in advocacy and leadership work through Hamilton Health Sciences as the Senior Medical Director - EDI, the Canadian Paediatric Society as the Physician Co-lead for the Antiracism Initiative and with various Hamilton based community advocacy organizations.
In this week's core session of Grand Rounds, Dr. Johnson introduces faculty, staff and employees in the Department of Pediatrics to some new books, ideas and an understanding of the impact of literacy on brains of all ages.
