Child Life Specialist, Birgit Veltri from McMaster Children's Hospital discusses the role of the child life specialist in supporting children, youth, and families of adult oncology patients. 

The objectives of the presentation are:
 - To increase awareness of the role of a child life specialist in an adult oncology setting;
- To recognize the various needs of families with children impacted by a cancer diagnosis, including age-appropriate education, emotional regulation, and legacy building; and
- To gain tools and resources for supporting the needs of children impacted by an adult's cancer diagnosis
