Sarah
Van Meer is a
Registered Nurse with over ten years of paediatric nursing experience. She
began her nursing career in Haematology/ Oncology at SickKids, where her
passion for paediatric palliative care kindled, grew and lead her to Emily’s
House Children’s Hospice in Toronto. In addition to a bedside nurse role at
Emily’s House, she served as Interim Client Care Resource Nurse and Grief
Coordinator for the Infant Maternal Perinatal Advanced Care Team (IMPACT). This
past January, Sarah joined the Quality of Life and Advanced Care Program at
McMaster Children’s Hospital as a Paediatric Palliative Care Clinical
Specialist. Her favorite thing in the world is going for (slow) walks with her
2-year-old daughter and husband.
