Dr. Burke Baird completed his undergraduate and post-graduate training at Western University in 1998 and worked as a General Consulting Pediatrician in Sudbury until 2009 when he moved to Hamilton and joined the Division of Child Maltreatment in the Department of Pediatrics at McMaster.
His topic objectives are the following:
- Reach a common understanding of what is meant by “Medical Neglect” as a form of child maltreatment
- Understand the approach to medical neglect suggested in the CPS Position Statement
- Consider how you might apply or adapt the suggested approach to your own practice
