Avenue to Learn provide an annotation tool which allows instructors to provide feedback directly in a student's assignment submission file, while viewing their submission within the grading screen.  This is a more efficient method of providing detailed feedback to students than: downloading their file, marking it up using a program like Word, and then uploading the markedup file within the Feedback area of the assignment grading windows.
