In the first seminar Dr. Itai Malkin, Medical Officer of Health for Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services Provincial Public Health and Assistant Clinical Professor for the McMaster University Department of Health Research Methods, Evidence, and Impact (HEI), speaks about how public health professionals protect people and communities during large scale events. As someone on the front-lines in preparing to host the Canada Games, Dr. Malkin knows a thing or two about how communities and provinces prepare.
