Bethany Sprowl is a Masters trained Social Worker who works on the
Quality of Life and Advanced Care Team at McMaster Children’s Hospital.
Bethany received her training through Dalhousie
University and McMaster University. Bethany is passionate about grief and
bereavement support for families, especially through the lens of supportive
counselling. Her article of original research, Family Member’s experiences with
viewing soon after sudden death, is published in the Journal of Death and
Dying.
Extensive work throughout her career in multiple
critical care settings has provided Bethany with the expertise to assist
patients and families to work through intense emotions while navigating complex
medical, legal and organizational environments.
